A collision in East Yorkshire, occurring after a police pursuit, has resulted in serious injuries for a 15-year-old girl. According to Humberside Police, emergency services, specifically firefighters, were required to extricate the teenager from a Renault Clio. The vehicle had collided with a wall and three stationary cars on Hessle Road in Hull, at 00:45 GMT on Saturday. The vehicle had not complied with officers’ instructions to stop after it was observed being driven “erratically” on Kingston Road in Willerby. Humberside Police stated that the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was notified about the event because of the earlier interaction with law enforcement. Three 15-year-old boys were taken into custody. Two of these individuals, one of whom is believed to be the driver, face arrest on suspicion of multiple offenses: failing to stop for police, operating a vehicle without insurance, driving without a licence, dangerous driving, and theft of a motor vehicle. The third boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and driving without insurance. Law enforcement officials indicated that the girl’s injuries are not considered life-threatening. Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward and contact the police.
