An inquiry into murder has commenced following the death of a young boy in hospital, who had sustained severe injuries. According to Thames Valley Police, officers responded to a residence located in Priestwood Square, Bracknell, Berkshire, on Wednesday, November 20. A spokesperson confirmed that a child, having suffered serious injuries, was transported to a hospital. The child succumbed to his injuries on Friday, leading to the arrest of a 25-year-old Bracknell man on suspicion of murder. Subsequently, the man has been granted conditional bail while further investigations are conducted. The police force has refrained from disclosing the boy’s age. Detective Superintendent Andy Howard described the event as an “exceptionally tragic incident.” He stated: “Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the boy’s next of kin are aware and my thoughts, and the thoughts of all of us at Thames Valley Police, are with them at this extremely difficult time.” He added: “There is a scene-watch in place at the address while the investigation continues.” He further mentioned that their investigation was in its “very early stages.” BBC Berkshire can be followed on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.
