A motorcyclist required air transport to a hospital following a collision that also left a pillion passenger severely injured. Hertfordshire Police reported that a motorbike, traveling on the A1000 Great North Road from Potters Bar, collided with a Hyundai Kona in Welham Green just before 19:40 GMT on Wednesday. The motorbike operator, a man in his 40s, sustained what law enforcement officials described as “potentially life-threatening injuries.” The passenger, a man in his 50s, was admitted to a medical facility with serious injuries. The roadway was shut down overnight and reopened at 08:50 GMT on Thursday.
