Police have identified an 83-year-old man who died following a collision near Gretna, an incident that resulted in five individuals requiring hospital treatment. Jackson Pringle sustained fatal injuries in the incident, which involved a black Peugeot 3008 and a white Ford Transit van on the A75 at approximately 11:10 on December 16. Mr. Pringle, aged 83, who was operating the Peugeot, was transported to the Royal Victoria Infirmary but passed away the subsequent day. Additionally, a 77-year-old man was admitted to hospital with serious injuries, while three other men, aged 77, 60, and 31, received medical attention as a precautionary measure.
