An 83-year-old man has passed away following a two-vehicle incident in County Tyrone that occurred earlier this month. Law enforcement officials have identified the deceased as Brendan Conlan, a resident of the Cookstown area. The crash took place at approximately 16:35 BST on 20 October on Tamlaght Road, situated just outside Coagh. The driver of a red Volkswagen Caddy, a man in his 40s, was transported to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Brendan Conlan, who was operating a grey Peugeot 208, was also admitted to hospital for medical attention but subsequently succumbed to his injuries. Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s (PSNI) collision investigation unit are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the incident. They are appealing for information from witnesses or individuals who might possess dash-cam or other recorded footage. Authorities suspect a transit-style van was present at or near the accident site, and officers are requesting its driver to come forward. Copyright 2024 BBC. All rights reserved.
