Police are conducting an inquiry into the death of a 79-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car. Officers and paramedics were dispatched to the collision site on the A465, located near Abergavenny train station in Monmouthshire, following a notification received at approximately 17:00 GMT on Monday. The pedestrian, Jean Campbell, a resident of Monmouthshire, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Gwent Police is appealing to any pedestrians and drivers who were on the A465 around that time to come forward with information.
