A 68-year-old man has died following a three-vehicle collision on the M25. Essex Police responded to the incident on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the motorway, located between junction 27, near Epping, and junction 28, near Brentwood, at approximately 11:00 GMT today. Two additional individuals were transported to hospital. Police have appealed for anyone with dashcam footage of the event to come forward and assist with their ongoing investigation. The M25 was closed in both directions while emergency services were present at the scene. The motorway has since been reopened. A spokesperson for National Highways East said: “There is still approximately 2.5 miles of congestion on approach [at about 17:30 GMT]. Please allow extra time for the remaining residual delays to clear.” For updates on Essex news, information is available via BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X. Copyright 2024 BBC.
