Police in a Devon town have arrested a 64-year-old man after illicit drugs, estimated to be worth nearly £2,000, were confiscated. This action by Devon and Cornwall Police followed the execution of a proactive warrant in November at an address located in Dartmouth. Officers present at the scene seized approximately £1,800 worth of substances suspected to be class A and B drugs from the property, in addition to an e-bike. The individual apprehended has been released on bail as investigations continue. PC Matt Edworthy, who provided support for the warrant, stated: “This has been a positive result for our community.” He further added: “We’ve been able to remove an amount of suspected drugs from our streets to disrupt the distribution of these illegal substances.” Insp Mark Stevens, who leads the neighbourhood police teams throughout the South Hams area, commented: “I hope this demonstrates that we are listening to reports from members of the public and taking action. “The information we receive from the community is a vital part in helping us to achieve results like these.” Post navigation Three individuals face riot charges following Sunderland unrest Convicted Man Jailed for Over 16 Years for Child Sexual Abuse Spanning a Decade
