53-year-old man dies after marine incident

An individual aged 53 passed away following an incident where he encountered difficulties in the sea near a beach in south Wales. According to South Wales Police, officers responded to a call at Ogmore-by-Sea, located in the Vale of Glamorgan, at 10:30 GMT on Sunday. The police confirmed that the man’s death was a consequence of this event. The police force further stated that the man’s family and the coroner have been notified. Previously, the Coastguard reported its involvement at the site, noting that a Coastguard helicopter, various rescue teams, RNLI lifeboats, police, and ambulance services, including air ambulances, were deployed.
