Authorities have taken a 27-year-old male into custody concerning a severe sexual assault that took place in Leeds city centre. West Yorkshire Police reported that the victim, a woman in her twenties, was assailed on Great Wilson Street during the early morning hours of December 18, having been pursued from the adjacent Call Lane. According to the police force, the woman, who was returning home after an evening out, suffered the assault at a bus stop situated beside Asda House. Police have appealed for anyone with information about the attack to come forward, adding that the 27-year-old man continues to be held in custody.
