A £25,000 reward has been made available for details leading to the recovery and subsequent sale of plant machinery stolen from a business park. This appeal was issued after a theft occurred between October 18 and November 4 at QC Polymer, situated in Cannon Business Park, Bilston, as stated in a notice. Insolvency practitioners had previously reported that the entire contents of the recycling plant were taken. Valuers arrived at the unit on November 6 to prepare for a pre-auction viewing of its £1.3 million worth of equipment, only to discover the building empty. At that time, administrators Hudson Weir characterized the theft as “an extraordinary turn of events”, with both West Midlands Police and the Serious Fraud Office conducting investigations. The facility, which entered administration on October 29, was utilized for recycling plastic bottles. Auctioneers and valuers GJ Wisdom & Co launched an appeal, offering the £25,000 reward and also providing a list of the missing items. The appeal specified that any information received would be handled with complete confidentiality. Follow BBC Wolverhampton & Black Country on BBC Sounds, Facebook, X and Instagram.
