A reward of £20,000 has been made available for information concerning the fatal shooting of a man described as “family-orientated.” Mustapha Jatta, 30, passed away following the shooting incident on Railway Terrace in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, on 17 September. Crimestoppers has now announced a £20,000 reward, valid until 7 March 2025, for specific information that results in the conviction of any individual implicated in his killing. Through a statement released by the police force, Mr. Jatta’s father commented: “Mustapha was very family orientated. He would do what was expected for friends and family and is missed.” Detective Inspector Dale Mepstead stated that the police force had been “working tirelessly over the last few months.” He acknowledged, “We understand it can be difficult and daunting to come forward with information,” and further urged, “If you know something and have not yet spoken to us, we urged you to please get in touch or contact Crimestoppers anonymously. “No matter how small or insignificant the details may seem, it could prove vital to our investigation.” Annabelle Goodenough, the regional manager for Crimestoppers, expressed that the charitable organization aims to “get justice” for Mr. Jatta’s relatives and acquaintances. She affirmed, “Our charity is completely independent of the police,” adding, “You can make a difference by passing on what you know whilst being protected by our guarantee of anonymity. “That means no police, no courts, no witness statements.” Information and updates concerning Beds, Herts, and Bucks are accessible via BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
