A 14-year-old male was subjected to a facial stabbing incident close to a park and a McDonald’s establishment. The assault occurred near the Belle Vale Park entrance on Childwall Valley Road in Liverpool around 19:15 GMT on Wednesday, according to Merseyside Police. The teenager is currently hospitalized and reported to be in a stable condition. Authorities have established a dispersal zone, encompassing an area from Childwall Valley extending to the north-east of Belle Vale. This order, which empowers police to prohibit individuals suspected of anti-social conduct, will remain active until 15:00 on Saturday. Increased police patrols have been deployed in the vicinity, and officers are “carrying out CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries,” the force confirmed. Detective Inspector Natalie Charlesworth stated: “The community will be understandably horrified to hear of a teenager being attacked in such a way, and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw the incident, or anyone making off from the location.” Local policing chief inspector Steve Reilly advised parents to “know where your children are are at night.” For more content, listeners can access the best of BBC Radio Merseyside on Sounds and follow BBC Merseyside on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
