A 14-year-old male has been taken into custody on suspicion of the attempted murder of two individuals who were stabbed. The victims, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s, were transported to a hospital after the stabbing incident. This occurred at approximately 06:50 GMT at an address located on Alexandra Road in Ashington, Northumberland. Both individuals remain hospitalized and are reported to be in a stable condition. A representative for Northumbria Police stated that the teenager is currently being held in custody.
