A 12-year-old girl has suffered serious injuries in an alleged hit-and-run, Humberside Police confirmed. The force indicated it received reports that a white Mercedes struck the girl as she was traversing County Road North in Hull, close to the Priory Road junction, around 15:10 GMT on 14 December. The girl was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious leg injuries. Police stated that the driver reportedly fled the location and are now appealing for them to present themselves. Authorities are also asking anyone possessing information or dashcam footage to make contact. Police also expressed gratitude to individuals present at the scene for assisting the injured girl.
