Police have reported the death of an 11-year-old boy, several days after he was struck by a vehicle near a school. The incident, a collision involving the boy and a grey Nissan Qashqai, occurred outside the Kings School on Wrexham Road in Chester around 17:15 GMT on Tuesday. Following on-scene treatment, he was transported by air to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where his death was confirmed on Saturday morning. Cheshire Police stated that specialist officers are providing support to his family. Authorities further noted that the driver of the Nissan Qashqai, a 28-year-old woman from Wrexham, sustained no injuries, and no arrests have been carried out. Sgt Russell Sime commented: “We understand that this was distressing incident, and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this difficult time.” He issued an appeal for individuals who may have witnessed the event, possess any relevant information, or have doorbell or dashcam footage, to get in touch with the police.
